What Do I Do if Someone Asks About the Report?

What do you do if somebody asks you about the investigative report? This comes up a lot, actually. Sometimes that happens during the interview, or sometimes somebody will ask you after the interview if there will be an investigative report or if they can have it. If somebody asks you during the interview, I will often just say, "Hey, remember how I told you there were some parts of this investigation are confidential? This is one of those things that is confidential. I can't answer that. I can tell you it would be normal in the industry for somebody to write a report after an investigation, but I don't actually know if I'm going to write a report for this one yet. my client hasn't told me. But it would be normal, and even if there is, I can't really tell you much about it". Often, people will contact you after the investigation or after they think they're part of the investigation is done, or they think the investigation's over and ask for a copy of it. In that case, you just redirect them back to the client and instruct them to work with their employer.
