Here are some of my picks for those undertaking workplace investigation as a career:

Steven Pinker speaks on the unconscious meanings of the words we choose.  His studies can be helpful when thinking about the words an interviewee chooses to report his experiences. Scott Fraser talks about witness testimony.  His discussion is specifically about murders but the considerations are consistent with workplace investigations, particularly those involving an accident, hearsay, or theft.
